The two big challenges of our times are global warming and artificial intelligence. Physics should make a specific contribution to these fields. And that is possible only, if there are journals dedicated to the physics of renewable energy and the physics of information processing. This is why we have created Isomorph Letters. For the time being the Journal is sponsored by the physics company Isomorph srl, but we hope to find more sponsors in the future. Isomorph Letters is also a contribution to an ongoing discussion in the scientific community regarding the problems of contemporary publishing.
The traditional anonymous review process has come to its limits. (This is similar to the problems encountered with social media and the use of the internet in general: most abuse of the internet can be traced back to its anonymity.) We explore an alternative: our review process is public.

The review is published together with the article it reviews, and with the name of the reviewer. Science should not be anonymous.
Isomorph Letters is rooted in the foundations of physics. But it is not supposed to be a journal from experts for experts. Physics should be connected to all fields of culture and society. And with some reasonable effort, everybody should be able to understand it – physics can be understood, what you one cannot understand is not physics.nd with the name of the reviewer.
